- I'm still on Magento 1. Is that a problem?
- It's the most urgent reason to move, because Magento 1 has had no security updates since June 2020. We move Magento 1 and Magento 2 stores the same way.
- Can my customers keep their passwords?
- No. Passwords can't be moved between platforms. After switch-over, customers get an email inviting them to set a new password.
- What happens to my extensions?
- We list every extension and agree what replaces it: a built-in Shopify feature, an app, or code in your theme. Custom features become a private app if no app fits.
- Do I need Shopify Plus?
- Most stores don't. Plus mainly matters for very high sales, wholesale price lists and advanced checkout changes. We'll tell you which plan fits before you choose.
- Will my store go offline?
- No. Magento keeps selling until switch-over, which takes minutes. We plan it for your quietest time.
- How much does it cost?
- Magento moves start from $8,000. The fixed price depends on your products, extensions, store views and how much custom work there is. You'll have it within one business day.
