Concept stores: how we'd design yours.
We keep our clients' stores private, so here are three Shopify stores we designed for made-up brands. Each one shows how we plan a store around what its customers need: what goes first, how products are shown, and how it works on a phone.
Every brand, product, price and review in these concepts is made up.
Concept 1 · Skincare · Cornwall, UK
Tidewell
A small skincare brand selling refillable serums and balms. Most of its sales come from customers coming back for more.
What we designed for
- Shop by skin need, so new customers find the right product fast
- Subscribe and save on every product page, for repeat orders
- Refill pouches offered next to each product
- Reviews and ingredients close to the Add to bag button

Concept 2 · Tea · Melbourne, Australia
Kettle & Co.
A tea company with 48 blends, wholesale customers and a monthly subscription club.
What we designed for
- Search and “shop by mood”, so 48 blends don't overwhelm anyone
- Flavour notes on every product card
- The Tea Club promoted on the homepage and as a choice on every product
- A brew guide that answers questions before people ask them

Concept 3 · Kids' clothing · Portland, US
Little Larch
An organic children's clothing brand. Most orders are gifts, or the next size up for a growing child.
What we designed for
- Shop by age instead of by product type
- Colour swatches and sold-out sizes visible at a glance
- A fit note under the size picker, to cut returns
- Gift sets and “complete the look” to raise the order value
